Mannington Hall and Wolterton Park

Thursday, April 16th, 2009

We were recently commissioned to photograph the beautiful North Norfolk houses of Lord and Lady Walpole; Mannington and Wolterton.

Having worked with Lady Walpole over a number of years designing her promotional leaflets, we were asked to photograph the houses and grounds for use in her 2009/10 literature. We’ve also designed the 2009 concertina flyer which features our photography.

We were blessed with some very nice weather and caught the gardens at their best. Mannington has striking medieval flint architecture complete with battlements and is surrounded by a moat. We have been lucky to work on days when the wind was low, creating some crisp reflections in the water. Wolterton is a historic red brick Georgian mansion set in extensive parkland with a large lake.

All images of Mannington and Wolterton are available through the new Commercial section of Alamy with property releases in effect.

Both houses are available for weddings and we’d love to photograph you if you’ve booked either venue. It’s also the perfect setting for a spring/summer family portrait. Please contact us for more details.

New Year Celebrations

Friday, January 2nd, 2009

In an effort to walk off Christmas indulgences, we enjoyed a fantastic walk along the cliff top to Overstrand and back again to Cromer. In the evening there were fireworks from the pier to celebrate New Year’s Day.

We had not captured fireworks before, it was really good fun using bulb mode and manually exposing each picture. We staked out a view early, standing on the promenade by the huts to the east of the pier. The images were framed with silhouettes of the crowd standing on the beach with reflections in the sea.

All images are available through the Alamy website.

We’d like to wish everyone a happy new year and great image making in 2009.
