I’m so thrilled that it’s nearly time for Sally and Andrew’s Hautbois Hall wedding.

But before I get ahead of myself, a few weeks ago on a blustery evening we headed to Blakeney. Let’s face it, who doesn’t love Blakeney? It’s an extremely pretty spot on the North Norfolk coast and there were lots of backdrop opportunities as the sun began to set. I’m often asked whether dogs can come along on pre-wedding shoots, of course! My only proviso is that they can sit and walk to heel or nicely on a lead. Dogs are such in important part of family life and often not present on the wedding day. Anyone that knows this couple will have met their adorable pooches and know how loved they are, we just had to include them in the session. Sadly their pug Tilly has not been very well; in fact the morning of the shoot she’d been back to the vets again. But like the trooper she is we managed to grab some gorgeous portraits of her and Humphrey in the pretty village streets and on a boat by the quay. As the sun started to set, leaving a cool orange streak on the horizon, I set to work with my flashes and gels. Despite their fears and nerves, Sally and Andrew did an amazing job and I can’t wait for the big day.
