When Sylvia and Dan contacted me from the other side of the world, I couldn't wait to meet them in person and learn more about their pretty corner of New Zealand.
Sylvia hails from Norfolk but native Kiwi Dan hadn't ventured passed Australasia, so their pre-wedding session was a chance to show off our wonderful county and get to know them a little better. Sylvia's dad contacted his friend Paul who owns the iconic Bintry Mill and gained us permission to shoot there. Situated on the River Wensum, the mill has been used as a film location - most notably as the Mill on the Floss in BBC's 1996 adaptation - and appeared on numerous picture postcards. Incidentally, it's also available as a wedding reception venue, contact me if you'd like more info. The weather couldn't have been more perfect and I adored my couple of hours exploring the waterways, Sylvia and Dan are complete naturals in front of the camera.
