As those that follow me on social media will know, I've been expanding my photographic services to include fine art portraiture. In fact I won a national merit in this genre last October at the MPA Awards. I'll be launching my fine art children's business very soon - keep tuned for that - but in the autumn I was thrilled to be commissioned by Jenny to create her something a little special.
I've had the pleasure of photographing this brilliant creative lady at various times in the last decade. For this shoot Jenny wanted to express her current style, plus go darker and Hellboy inspired with horns and smoke. We'd discussed various locations as Jenny's inspiration board was full of golden hour images in wooded and watery settings. Luckily I knew of just the place, the stunning Hall Farm Cottages. Huge thanks again to Hannah for allowing us space and time to create. Assisting me with styling was Rachael from Foxglove & Gingersnap, who also wore a mean oven glove and handled the smoke grenades superbly. You can tell we all had an amazing time and I found it revitalising to be allowed free rein to create.
