I have been fortunate to capture the love, emotion and good times of two weddings at Oxnead Hall this August. First at this most beautiful of venues were Tanya and Ryan. I've known Tanya for a fair few years as she has the misfortune of being my hairdresser (also available for wedding hair ladies) and I've been with her through their wedding journey from the first seeds of ideas to the big day. Once they'd settled on the UK instead of a destination wedding, they spent a long time searching the country for the perfect venue. They wanted somewhere steeped in history with contemporary interiors, ideally near water, eventually finding the perfect place on their doorstep.
In styling the day, they wanted unfussy elegance and obviously for Tanya it was all about the hair. With Flamingo Amy on board it became the perfect collaboration. Her elegant chiffon gown and pastel florals from La Belle complemented Ryan's navy three-piece.
Their ideal ceremony was outside and the weather was absolutely perfect as they said their vows in the sunshine between the river and the fountain, witnessed by a close gathering of family and friends. Everyone enjoyed drinks on the parterre whilst we photographed those precious groups before heading over to the Great Barn for their reception. They wanted the day to be informal so minimal speeches and no first dance. Golden hour in the garden was majestic and we explored every inch, chasing the light and looking for beautiful backdrops before Happy Hour got the dance floor jumping. It was the hugest honour to be a part of this day and I wish them all the happiness in the world.
