It's been a crazy October for weddings and I've loved every second of capturing them. To further my photography I booked a treat for myself to end the wedding season, a training course at Castello Ceconi in the mountainous Dolomites of Northern Italy. Although we arrived to flooding, power cuts, road closures and high winds (and a huge sadness for lives lost) the Brit spirit won out and we carried on regardless. Exploring with natural light inside - and outside when the rain stopped - for the first few days and then playing with statement lighting and really getting creative once power was back on in the region. I'm looking forward to going through my notes in the next few weeks and creating even better images and memories for my brides and grooms. I'm currently booking Spring-Autumn 2019 and have also opened 2020 - contact me for info on free dates.
A couple of stand out moments from my week were actually nothing to do with the course; this was the first time I'd seen the Milky Way with my own eyes in a very long time (thanks to Jeremy for loaning his wide lens) and the other was our last morning stopping the van and enjoying the scenery with crystal turquoise rivers, stunning autumn colours and magical hovering clouds. What a week!
