Wales

Aug152018

What does a photographer do on holiday? Take photos of course! I promised myself and my family that I would take a break this summer and it’s been so lovely to relax the soul and reset my energy and focus. I’m raring to go for all weddings to come and thanks again to everyone for their patience during the last fortnight.

Coming from Norfolk I miss a lumpy bumpy landscape, so it was decided Wales would be our destination. Here are a few of my highlights: from Snowdonia in the North to the Valleys and castles of the South. Welshcakes not included.

One of the reasons for our visit to Wales was to retrace the steps of my parents in Portmeirion 50 years ago. Under the shadow of Hercules in 1968 to present day.

Our unexpected highlight was being front row in Cardiff to watch one of our cycling heroes bring it home; Tour de France and Critérium du Dauphiné 2018 winner Geraint Thomas.
